This beautiful and stylish rustic tan journal is hand crafted in India. Perfect for your travel musings or as a favourite notebook.
It’s made using untreated by-product leather, dyed with vegetable extract and tree bark. Using age old techniques, each piece is the handiwork of one artisan from start to finish - working as part of a cooperative of families providing fair employment and equal opportunities.
The journal is filled with lovely handmade paper created from pieces of recycled cotton rag. This ancient paper making skill has been passed on through generations. Cotton paper has the additional benefit of being tree free as no wood pulp is used. Each sheet is painstakingly made by hand and dried by the sun before being bound in leather and carefully hand stitched.
Each journal may have superficial imperfections in the leather - just a sign of their provenance and uniqueness! They have 80 pages.
