Our website does not collect any personal information about you. However, certain information that you provide helps us to monitor our web site service and provide you with the services that you are entitled to as a visitor to our website. When you check out on our store, you'll see a lock icon or word ‘Secure’ in your browser. 

We accept credit card payments: Visa, Mastercard and American Express. You may send your credit card information via phone, mail or over the Internet. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

When you register or order products or services on www.thegeographer.uk, you will be asked to provide certain information about yourself, including your name, contact details and credit or debit card information.         

We may also collect information about your usage of our website as well as information about you from any written feedback that you send us. Your information will ensure that you have access to all parts of our website, and will allow us to supply the goods or services that you have requested. It will also enable us to bill and contact you when necessary concerning your orders. We will also use and analyse the information we collect so that we can administer, support, improve and develop our business.  

Like most sites, we also use cookies. Cookies are very small files that are downloaded to your computer or other device when you visit websites.  These files help us streamline your online shopping experience by remembering your preferences; like what you have in your shopping basket or any recently viewed items. When you visit our website, we use a third party service, squarespace built in Analytics, to collect some routine information and behaviours of our visitors. We do this to find out important information such as which pages on our website are most visited. This information is completely anonymous, and collects no personal information. We do not make, nor allow squarespace to make, any attempt to find out the identities of people visiting our website.  

When you purchase a product from The Geographer, we will store your name, address data, email and contact number in our secure online storage system. You may, of course, purchase products in person at our shop in Cambridge without supplying any of the aforementioned details. Please note, we will never share any of this personal data supplied as a result of purchasing from The Geographer, without your explicit consent.

We comply with the United Kingdom Data Protection Act 1998. This data privacy policy forms part of the terms of use of this website and is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit any dispute arising out of your use of this website to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
